The UAEFA delegation headed by HE Saeed Obaid Al Tenaiji, deputy chairman of the football association and chairman of the competitions committee accompanied by Khaled Awad, member of the competitions committee and Mohammed Suroor, matches official, continue their field visits to the football clubs within the country as part of the initiative of the committee to review the difficulties which hinder the development of the age-group competitions besides being an important opportunity to liaison with the said clubs.
“We have listened to the proposals and opinions of the officials at Al Shaab Club. We have also discussed the obstacles which face the age-group teams at the club and highlighted the technical plan of the club to develop the same,” Al Tenaiji said.
Ebrahim Khalil, board member of Al Shaab Club and supervisor of the U-19 and U-17 teams, and Rashid Suroor, supervisor of the U-17 to U-15 teams, and the CEO Waheed Arafat, have welcomed the move to open discussions on such vital issues.
Meanwhile, Al Tenaiji said during his visit to Sharjah Club that they have discussed the ways of upgrading the age-group competitions. The club’s officials have outlined some of the problems encountered by them. Al Tenaiji promised to look into the matter and find a solution for all problems.
Elsewhere, Al Tenaiji met on the sidelines of the visit with Sheikh Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Thani, president of the Sharjah Club who hailed the initiative of the competitions committee.
