Match of the Week: du LaLiga HPC face-off against League Table runner up E-Sports

9 March 2017, Dubai, UAE – du LaLiga HPC maintained a 6-week winning run in the and leadership of du UAE FAAL League, after defeating runner-up E-Sports on home turf at the Sevens. In one of the most intense matches of week 6, E-Sports was driven to but failed to break du LaLiga HPC’s winning streak.  du LaLiga HPC team worked as a solid unit with Ahmed Arif opening the score line at the 5-minute mark, from a fantastic cross by Ahmed Salam.   Arif went for it again in the first half from an assist by Rajeh, but E-sports goalie Umar Zahid made a brilliant save.

In the second half, E-Sports came back strong, led by Coach Terry who encouraged his wingers to support the back line, in order to stop opponent attacks by Hallal and Salam from du LaLiga HPC.  E-Sports remained motivated and attacked the goal time and again, but du LaLiga HPC’s Wahdan defended his goal and stopping all high passes.  Moments before the final whistle, a superb pass from Hallal allowed Matni to hit the back of the net once more, which led du LaLiga HPC to a 2-0 win and relegated E-sports to 4th position in the League table. 

Over at Al Ain on Thursday, Al Ain Club maintained their winning streak and reclaimed 2nd place in the League table, thanks to a hat trick and goal from David Guel and additional 3 goals from his team members, which landed them a 7-0 win against Legends, with still two games at hand. 

Three matches kicked off Friday afternoon, the first taking place in Ras Al Khaimah between Emirates Club and FCBEscola.  In a heated match, the boys from FCBEscola took the win 3-1, which help them attain 5th place in the table.

In Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi’s Elite scored a smashing 4 goals against Dubai’s PSG finishing the match with a superb 4-0 and moving up to take 3rd place in the League Table.  

In another thrilling match, Al Jazira Club won 3-1 over EFF from Abu Dhabi with 2 goals in the last 2 minutes of the match.

Dubai’s Elite and TFA played a tough match on Saturday with TFA opening the score-line with a penalty 6 minutes into the match and continuing strong to take the win at 3-1.
