UAE women football national league gets underway

Dubai – Saturday March 11, 2017: The fifth edition of the UAE U-14 & U-16 women football national leagues kicked off at the association’s premises in Al Khawaneej here on Friday. 

Abu Dhabi Sports Club had a great start after beating Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain ytraining centre 5-1 in the opener of the round one matches of the JU-14 national league. Elsewhere, Dubai training centre claimed the full points of their clash against Ras Al Khaimah training centre after hammering them 11-1 and the final match in the U-14 saw  the private training schools losing 0-8 to the Sharjah, East and Fujairah training centre.

In the U-16 version of the competition, Abu Dhabi Sports Club edged Ras Al Khaimah training centre 15-0 and Dubai training centre earned a narrow 5-4 win over the Sharjah, East and Fujairah training centre.

The launching of the matches was attended by Dr. Balhassan Malouch, director of the technical department besides the AFC delegation.
