Al Ain Sunday March 19, 2017: The UAE senior football national team workout at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium ahead of their confrontation against Japan in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (Group-B) at the same venue on Thursday.
The boys in white have launched their preparations on Wednesday at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in the Purple City but the head coach Nahdi Ali and his assistants opted to shift to the match venue to put the players in the atmosphere of the match.
According to the team’s supervisor Adnan Al Talyani, the match against Japan is very important for the UAE’s campaign in the qualifiers and he is confident that the players will live up to the expectations.
“Preparations are on top gear and we are too much confident atht the boys are capable of doing it and delight the big crowd which is expected to pack the beautiful venue. The surrounding atmospheres within the training camp are positive and everything is going well,” he admitted.
“We were able to beat Japan in Tokyo and we are confident to repeat at home. There is nothing to be worried about. Our players are competent and experienced enough to face the situation. The Japanese are motivated enough but we will be able to set our pace and dictate the terms of the game,” he said.
Meanwhile, Al Talyani said the boys are disciplined and looking forward to get ready from all aspects for the big challenge with the fighting spirit and one-man heart.
Al Talyani urged the faithful fans to make their way down to the stadium to show support and cheer the players.
Elsewhere, Al Ahli midfielder Habib Fardan said: “Everything is helpful and the atmospheres are comfortable and motivating. The players are determined to co,e out with a positive result against Japan and Australia thereafter,” he said.
“We are at a crossroad and bypassing Japan and Australia will put ut us very close to our target because the real barriers which we must clear,” he noted.
