Strategic Project for Infrastructure Upgrade
Umm Al Quwain/ Wednesday, August 9th, 2017: in the context of UAE FA strategic project commenced last season to upgrade clubs’ infrastructure, UAE FA kicks off inspection visits to ascertain readiness of clubs for the new season.
The Medical Committee has commenced its visits to clubs the day before to review medical clinics and cadres. In this respect, the committee chairman Dr. Mustafa Al Hashimi paid a visit to Al Arabi Club in Umm Al Quwain, accompanied by Dr. Reema Al Hosani, Dr. Majdi Iskindar and Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Al Syed, the committee reporter.
Dr. Al Hashimi said “this visit comes under the directions of UAE FA Board of Directors, to visit the clubs’ clinics which were refurbished and prepared with medical equipment. We have been working on developing medical officials in these clubs via providing the chances to doctors and physiotherapists to participate in medical conferences and symposiums organized under supervision of UAE FA Medical Committee”
He pointed out “UAE FA is keen to provide all means for sustaining football activities in UAE, as we are well aware of the importance of making medical clinics and cadre ready to provide healthcare services for players”.
From his part, Aisa bolhiol – Al Arabi Club Board Member thanked UAE FA for their support to 1st division clubs and affirmed that the medical equipment supplied by UAE FA has contributed significantly in reducing injuries and shortening recovery periods.
Clubs’ Development Ad-Hoc Committee has coordinated its works with Medical Committee to develop clubs medical infrastructure and prepare clinics according to international standards. Nine clubs were benefited from the support, including Al Rams, Al Tawon, Al Jazira Al Hamra, Masafi, Masfout, Al Arabi, Falaj Al Mala and Ras Al Khaimah.
In another note, UAE FA Medical Committee will carry on its visits to remaining clubs in the coming days.
