Dubai / Thursday, April 12th, 2018: Lebanon has qualified to the next stage of WAFF U-15 Girls Championship after beating Syria 5 – nil in the match which was held yesterday in Dubai.
Lebanon team had shown exemplary domination since its commencement and succeeded in scoring five goals at minute 26, 36, 59, 64 and 68 respectively. By this win, Lebanon possesses 3 points and it will face Palestine which ended the group stage with 6 points, in the game of semi-final tomorrow.
In the other hand, Bahrain was difficultly able to grab a 2 – 1 win from UAE in the 3rd round of Group 1. Bahrain Succeeded in opening the score at the first minute of the game by the player Aneesa Mahmoud and added the second goal at the last minute of the 1st half, but UAE kept trying to equalize the score for the entire duration of the 1st half, with no vail.
UAE entered the 2nd half excitingly and was able to come back after only six minutes with a great goal by the player Alia Al Zaabi. Although UAE players intensified their attacks to score the equalizer, all their attempts have been forced to failure in view of compacted defense line of Bahrain.
With this score, Bahrain qualified to face Jordan in the semi-final while UAE is due to contest for the 5th place versus Syria next Saturday.
